Easy Penuche Icing

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 1/4 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar
  1. Melt butter in sauce pan.
  2. Stir in brown sugar.
  3. Boil and stir over low heat 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in milk
  5. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  6. Cool to lukewarm.
  7. Add confectioner’s sugar and beat until thick enough to spread.
  • If icing becomes too stiff, add a little hot water.
