- 10 egg whites
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1/2-1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Add salt to egg whites and whip eggs to foam.
- Add cream of tartar and whip until very stiff.
- Add sugar and fold in vanilla, then fold in sifted flour lightly
- Bake in moderate oven 45 minutes.
- Do not grease pan
- Cool in inverted position.
