Grandma’s Waffles

  • 1/2 cup butter (1/3 cup plus…)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teasp. baking powder (or 1 teasp. soda)
  • 2 teasp. sugar
  • 1/4 teasp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  1. Melt the butter.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients.
  3. Beat the eggs well and add the milk (or 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup sour cream).
  4. Combine the melted butter with the egg/milk mixture.
  5. Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and combine with a few swift strokes.
  6. Bake in a hot waffle iron and serve with syrup.
  • No extra butter is necessary!
