- 1/2 cup butter (1/3 cup plus…)
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teasp. baking powder (or 1 teasp. soda)
- 2 teasp. sugar
- 1/4 teasp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- Melt the butter.
- Combine the dry ingredients.
- Beat the eggs well and add the milk (or 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup sour cream).
- Combine the melted butter with the egg/milk mixture.
- Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and combine with a few swift strokes.
- Bake in a hot waffle iron and serve with syrup.
- No extra butter is necessary!
